I'm looking for something inexpensive and compact to power a small system and came across this unit which has a remote and an impressive array of other features:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071JN7GXN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Note that there is a separate power brick (Power supply) which weighs more than the amp (not saying a lot!).

Input/output C has a lot going on:

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
The claim is 80Watts X 2, but there is no specification such as RMS, so I am skeptical as to how much power it puts out.
Thanks in advance!

I tried a little a cheaper version of the SMSL. It sounded horrible to me. Bought a new Sony Receiver from Amazon for $149.00. Sounds much better and has tone controls and an fm/am tuner. Going into the garage system

Looks like an interesting unit but I'd also look to an avr at that price point aside from form factor....if size is very important then this may be one of the better solutions.

Yeah, for the same price, I can get a refurb Denon AVR-S530BT 70WPC 5 channel bluetooth AVR that is rated in RMS Watts, has a real remote. However, this unit really needs a compact form and simple operation (will not be connected to a TV).

Do you need an integrated amp only or do you need a DAC? I'm just wondering because I've been eyeing Emotiva's A-100. I haven't heard one yet but it's fairly small. If you need a DAC then I'd find an AVR and find a way to hide it.
