Hi all,
First post, thanks all for any help available. I just returned a RX-V6a, couldn't deal with the handshake issues and sound drops - just picked up (one of the last it seems) NIB rx-a2080, very excited.
Issue: I cannot see the volume on the screen while using SmartTV apps. (wait! It's not a receiver setting if you keep reading..)
Setup:
- a2080, updated firmware, setup run, "info display" is on, but I don't think the receiver has an issue.
- TV is Samsung q60t, 2020.
- 4K HDMI cable.
My Hypothesis:
While viewing the piano background/wallpaper provided by the receiver, the volume will show up on screen when I adjust it. When I run an TV app, the volume does not show on the screen, works correctly, just not viewable. It shows on the receiver display, but my LP is about 16ft away and the display is small. I'm assuming the TV apps overlay the receiver's image, therefore the volume is still there, just "covered up."
I'm sure there's no "setting change" for this, but anyone have any ideas for easier viewing of the volume? I'd rather not depend on the yamaha app as I don't always have my phone glued to my hip, plus my wife would never go for that setup. Thanks!
