Smallest LCD Monitor with HDMI 1.3 input

I would like to add a second (and MUCH smaller) HDTV display to my home setup. I'm hoping to find a very small LCD unit, say 12 inches or less, that would have an HDMI input. The reason for this second TV monitor would be to avoid having to turn on the 50" Panasonic Plasma (and leaving it on for a mininimum of 8 hours everyday) when I would like to navigate through the Home Media Gallery function of my Pioneer Elite VSX94TXH Reciever. I have an accompanying Elite Blu-ray player BDP-95FD that I also use to play music over the home network.

Rather than turning the larger plasma on all day and night for the sole purpose of navigating through home media network, I would like to find a decent quality lcd monitor that's much, much smaller and would hopefully have an hdmi input to help keep things simple (an S video input would be just fine as well). Does anyone have ideas of what I should be looking for and have others done anything similar?

Much appreciated!

A PC monitor would do the trick. A quick search at Newegg found THIS one. It's a little bigger than you asked for but it's almost half the price of that 5.6" one from B&H.

A also recommend a computer lcd. They all have DVI input or an hdmi on the newer ones. Purchase a hdmi to dvi cable and you're set.

Well fellows, I need to place control knob in the display area of an LCD monitor, but there's not enough room. This area (upper left corner) will be covered later and not seen. I was wondering if it was possible to put a hole through the screen an not effect the function of the rest of it? Can a hole be drilled through an LCD monitor and still have it function? Have a nice day.

A possible solution

Amazon.com is now listing a monitor that might suit you; HDMI input, although at 15 inchs, a bit larger than you were hoping for. It's by Coby, who I haven't heard of before. Search Amazon.com for "Coby TFTV1524" .

If you can nab one of those Sony 11" OLED displays while they are still available, but prepare to take a dent, that will set you back 2 grand.

are you posting to a 1 1/2 y/o thread ? lol.

i have actually thought about putting a small monitor in my bathroom. so when i go pee/smoke, i don't have to pause the movie. nor will i miss anything. drinkin beers during a movie can have me going many times :D

bout the only thing stopping me from doing it is running the wires.
