Small home studio set-up, sub doubt!

Hi

I was planning to set up a small home studio with two M-Audio Monitors (BX5a), and a active Pioneer subwoofer that I've already own (HTP702-SW), but I don't know how to make the connections.
I would use it connected to my Mac or to my M-Audio Xponent (DJ Mixer).
This sub has only one RCA connection for input and another RCA output.
How am I supposed to hook it up? Can I just use a Y cable to separate the audio and throw it to the sub and my monitors? Or do I have to buy some device to do that, since my sub doesn't have frequency selection knob?
I also have some doubts about impedance. How would it affect my system?

Any help would be appreciated,

(Sorry if there any english mistakes, I'm from Brazil)

Thanks,

Caio
