I need an A/V Receiver that I can connect my DVD player, Wii, HD Receiver, and HDMI compatible TV to. The big problem is that it needs to fit into our wall furniture which only has 5 1/2 " high spaces for AV equipment. The only receivers I have found so far that fits the space are from Bose and I do not see a need to spend lots of money on a name.

Can anyone point me at any A/V Receivers that are slim enough to fit?

Marantz NR1501

You may need to run a cooling system with only 1" of space above it or at least, take the back off of your credenza.

It's hard to tell if it has enough power to drive your speakers because you didn't tell us what speakers you have...
Thanks for the tip. The Marantz sounds promising.

I am looking at the receiver first and then getting speakers to match. However, I had also been looking at speakers and was planning on using Klipsch Quintet Speakers. These are only 50W speakers. So the Marantz should be able to drive them.

As to the cooling there is an extra inch clearance inside the shelving space and plenty on the sides and back. So hopefully that will be enough to keep it cool.
