purchased this unit to upgrade RX2070. Love the sound and features. Primary use is home theater using tv source and Blu-ray, plus MultiZone music. Noticed that the unit would shut down while watching tv source at moderate level (-25-30dB). Checked to see if I had somehow activated sleep timer. No.checked internet posts for similar issues with other owners.No. Only posts were for circuit protection due to speaker wire shorting. Not an issue as I use banana plug connectors. Was looking around at features in the Yamaha Web Editor and saw that Stanby shutoff was set for two hours, so increased it to four hours as I rarely watch more than three hours of tv at a time. Problem disappeared! Can only assume that with tv source (Hulu, Netflix, prime) and pass through on for video processing , system doesn’t recognize the signal and and goes to standby mode after the preset time. Problem never occurred when using multi zones and MusicCast playing through out house and outside with Pandora source. Just a programming glitch I guess.
