Looks cool! Seems like a lot of wasted space in a way, tho...and will something like this get built in Covid times?

good point, given the mass exodus from cities with regard to 'office space'. But then we are talking 'NYC'. Maybe Trump can build it in retirement, God help us .........

Going off on a tangent but you can see the WTCs were hollow so when they collapsed they pancaked. The old conspiracy was demolition but that's pretty darn impossible. The core was literally the structure and the walls and truss floors the outers. They just didn't have a model for fire damage in excess of 2000 degrees back in 1970. Plus there was a big f--king hole in em!!! The second went down first because the plane took out a corner, losing load bearing weight. The first later as it hit direct center. They were going around 500 mph. The one that hit the pentagon about 570. The WTCs did their job in a way as predicted. Had a plane hit, they still stood up like the designers wanted. You can say they didn't do their job because they fell, but I find it to be a matter of context. They were made for maximum office space which meant pushing the core in and having a wide open floor plan. They were hit with planes carrying thousands of gallons of fuel, which is why the terrorists chose cross country flights. Quite ingenious for its time. I suppose in a way it's difficult to say it was anything but a failure, but I'm guessing the reason the report found no real functioning problems is because they were basing it off the design and not a traditional steel girder.
