Sirius hookup needed

And thats no joke..
Anyone have sirius hooked up to there receiver?
I just got my new receiver and want to hook it up.I see I need an 8 pin adapter and will be running out to get it.The antenna is my question.The useless one that came with the Sirius is just that.. useless.I see theres an outdoor mounted antenna that uses a basic cable line.The only threaded connection is for FM antenna.
Any help as to what exactly to get and how to hook it up would be great!!

I have mine hooked up with no issues with the antenna. Antenna is pointed out a window and I never have any issues with sound dropping out. If that doesn't work for you, you could always hook up an ipod touch/old iphone and use the sirius app as well.
