The Rotel 1095 should arrive this week and I will set up
the B&W 804S's.

On Saturday the dealer told me there is no need to bi-wire
due to the design of the speakers and the jumpers I am to use:confused:

The B&W manual states to Bi-Wire "at minimum", and at many
formus and professional reviews I have read the same

Did the dealer tell me this b/c the jumpers result in bi-wiring?

The dealer also claims spades is better than bare wire & bananas,
do you agree?

Dealer is pushing MIT cable on me.

Appreciate your thoughts :D

Biwiring does nothing, the shop is correct. No I don't agree that spades are better, as there is essentially no audible difference between the two. From a connection standpoint there may be a small plus for spades, but I use locking bananas.

For speaker wire MIT is unnecessary. Check out www.bluejeanscable.com

Ask him for hard evidence why MIT is better, audibly, than 14ga monoprice wire.
Another forum AVS, had a gent start a DBT with his $35k wire and a Monster since Randi offered $1mil to some reviewer if he could differentiate a Pear cable$7500 and Monster, and this gent thought he'd practice. Needless to say, he stopped in the middle as he, the golden ear, could not differentiate.:D
Many have tried over the past 30+ years, none have succeeded when the cables are comparably gauged. :D
So, the short of it, spend you money on other things than expensive cables.:D
