I tried a few searches to answer this simple question. Im in the process of building a house. I will do the wiring for video and sound. Plan to have a 5.1 setup in the living with dvd and digital cable. Will also have tvs in the master bed and family room. These rooms will be 50ft or less from the dvd and cable box in the living room. I want to use the dvd player and cable box in the living room to feed these other tvs. Will set up ir remote eyes in remote locations so i can use the remotes.
What about wiring the video and audio signals? For the cable box i will run hdmi to the living room tv. Cant i just use the extra coxial out from the cable box to feed the other tvs?
For the dvd will also use hdmi for main tv. Cant i just use the dvd players compoment video (rca) cables output to the other tvs?
