Agreed, hopefully she is free of her earthly demons. Never could understand how she could so deliberately trash the Catholic church(not that they didn't have a degree of it coming) and then later become a Muslim ?

Of course, for you the Muslim part is the most obnoxious.

She has a book out discussing her issues with fame, church, family. In the article linked, it says she had an issue with the Catholic church because they unfortunately are one of the organizations who try to cover up abuse. Even though it does not sound like she had direct abuse related to the church, she blames the church for protecting or ignoring abusers, one of which was her mother.

As of that article, no cause of death was released by authorities yet either.

I heard that about her this AM on the news. Regardless , knowing how many women are treated in the Muslim faith I would have thought that to be out of character for her.

her rendition of Silent Nite will always be one of my favs......

While I find trashing the catholic church particularly understandable, I only noticed her due that SNL episode, which I lauded her for. I have a track or two but never delved into her music particularly. Shame to go so early. RIP.
