I'll post this here. :p I've got it on good authority that I'll be receiving an XBox 360 for Christmas. I haven't owned a console system since I stood in line to get one of the first Playstation 1's back in the day. I'm a fan of first/third person shooters, survival (Resident Evil, etc.), stuff like that. Not a fan of racing or sports. Obviously, I'm interested in Halo 3 when it comes out but what else should be on my radar. I've got friends that have (or will have) 360's as well so an online component would be nice. Any suggestions? What should be on my Christmas list?

I played the Wii at my friends house yesturday.

Holy crap, that has to be the most fun you can possibly have with any gaming system. Wii (haha, get it?) only played the sports games that it comes with (Tennis) but the controllers make it SO much fun. You just stand there, and swing, like real tennis, and your character does the moving for you. And it knows different movements, you can over hand, under hand, normal, and back hand.

I will definitely be picking on of these up in the future.

Gears of War is a must buy if you have a 360. Lost Planet which comes out January will also be another must have.

Just in case you missed the first two posts...get GOF.

Do not miss either Gears of War or Call of Duty 3. They are both spectacular. Graphically, Gears of War is as good as any game I've ever seen on any system. PC included. It's spectacular in 1080i :)

Tom, Saints row is a pretty good GTA rip off type game. Lots of fun. I downloaded the demo for "cars" last night for my son. It looks like its alot of fun for the 5 year old and up catagory. Superman demo was a bit fun for a change...
