Simple sub advice

Have an x-sub ordered, unfortunately it was delayed, but my roommate is willing to chip in an extra $100 if I get something bigger. I thought I saw the ULW-10 as a special offer through audioholics for $399. Can anyone point me to this or am I remembering things that didn't happen? If not, can anyone point me to the overall best sub I can get for under $400, its use is 80% music. I will be living in apartments for the next 5 years at least. Thanks!

For $429, you can also get the SVS PB-10.

I own the UFW-10 and it's a great little sub. Based on what I have reae I would think the ULW-10 would be great too. The Hsu STF2 would be very tempting at $319 as well.

You could take a look at the Bic Acoustech H100 . It is reported to be a pretty good sub for the money.

I wouldn't put the H100 up against most of the subs mentioned though.

I can't say that I have heard it, I have not. My son has the x-sub and I have a Hsu STF 3 and a VTF 2 MK1.
