Sim2 x3 lite?

I was told by a retailer that the Sim2 x3 lite does not come with a lens. Is this why they call it 'lite'? Why would I want a projector without a lens? It's like a car without a steering wheel.

Anyway, I guess folks can use custom lenses or something. Also, who makes Sim's lenses? Leica, Zeiss or someone like that?

I think I'm pretty much settled on this machine, but I can't find them anywhere at a disount. Are they like B&W's or something with a fixed price?

Is this number 3 you settled on?

I suppose your installation location may dictate the lens. Could be an expensive lens. Infocus lens if you need something other than the one that comes with it is $4k.
Did you look on line for a price break? Projectorcentral in TX?

Yes, it is confusing, especially when you cannot compare side by side and with known proper calibration to both. Wide Screen Review like the Ruby in their Dec 2005 review
