Silly question. Does a bass shaker count as a sub in setup for Dirac?

I have an Onkyo RZ70. I have an RSL 12 in one Subwoofer output and a separate mono AMP with dual bass shakers coming out of the other output.

So, when I set my configuration on my Onkyo do I set it as 7.4.1 or 7.4.2? For Dirac purposes as well.

Thx

Use the same sub out that you do for the RSL sub. Otherwise Dirac will try acoustcially measure and calibrate the bass shakers, and it will turn into a mess.

Well I’m using the second sub out port because I can independently dial crossover and volume with it as the RZ 70 allows this. My mono amp does not have a crossover dial. Can I just simply unplug it then and set the system up as 7.4.1 then when everything is calibrated just plug it back in?

First thing. The correct way to describe this is 7.1.4. And yes. You can do the normal calibration, and then set the shakers manually. As shady said, the Onkyo will try to set the levels and distances for the shakers and it will be a problem.
