silly cable question?

is the yellow composite cable the same cable as the white and red?

I could swear someone at radioshack told me this before, but maybe im mistaken. :eek:

It might be, it might not be. You can definitely use it in place of either a red or white analog connector. It is identical, though, to a digital audio cable.

The composite video cable must be 75 Ohm impedance but the red and white cables don't have to be 75 Ohm to work properly for audio. If the cables are relatively new there is a very high probability that they are all the same 75 Ohm cables, only with different color rca connectors (it's cheaper for the manufacturer that way).

I believe thats what the dude at radioshack told me. Thanks for the replies
