Good news for installers dealing with tricky deployments. Digital connectivity firm Silicon Image has acquired WirelessHD founder and WiGig Alliance partner SiBEAM in a $25.5 million dollar deal that will be finalized later this year. The HDMI chip maker makes no secret that they plan to go full-steam-ahead with SiBEAM’s 60GHz standard. But we’ll give them at least a year to unveil any meaningful advances in WirelessHD hardware. So for now... keep on cabling!
