Hi Ho Audioholic Samurai Dec 6, 2005 #3 I do not know of any modern receivers that have a signal strength meter. My old Quadraflex did but that was from 1977. I used a directional antenna before I subscribed to cable TV (which has all the FM radio signals). I never had to move the antenna to get good reception on my old or new receiver.

Come to think of it, I can't recall the last time I saw one of these on a receiver, aside from this one. http://www.magnumdynalab.com/md208.htm videobruce said: Then how do you orentate your antenna? jcPanny Audioholic Ninja Dec 6, 2005 #5 These days, we get that little LED to tell you when it is locked onto a station. LED OFF or flashing and static == Low signal strength. Just kidding. But seriously, you could brobably get one of those 1970 tuners and use it to adjust your antenna.
