Should I swap subs?

OK, I finished my basement (just need carpet and furniture) and have a Panasonic TH-50PHD7UY Plasma, Yamaha RX-V2500, Yamaha DVD-C950, Orb Mod2 6.1 speakers (Super 8 Sub).

Upstairs I just added some Athena Point 5 speakers (just Left, Right and Center) and ordered a HSU STF-1 sub.

I was just thinking, should I put the HSU with the "good" setup in the basement and bring the Super 8 upstairs to use with the "cheaper" setup?

Is the HSU better than the Orb (no flaming please)?

Orb's website says this "Although the Super Eight is acoustically matched to our Mod1 and Mod2 satellites, it is a good match to most other speaker system that would normally require a larger subwoofer." Does this mean the HSU might not sound as good with the Orb speakers?

Just looking for some feedback.

Thank you,

Subs, for the most part, are interchangeable with other makes of speakers. I would give them both a listen too on your better system and see which one you like the best.
