Should I hold out for the good stuff?

So far my home theatre setup consists of the following:
Dell W3201C 32" LCD TV
Sony STR-DG800 Receiver

My justification for the TV was that I live on Baffin Island and Dell shipped it for free.

My justification for the receiver was that I am pumping my A/V through a MythTV PVR box and HDMI provides the best video solution for a computer.

Now, the only problem is that I need surround speakers.

I have tried to get the following Athena based system from Future Shop:
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10074516&catid=

However, their supply chain is messed up and it has literally failed to ship twice already. I have been waiting 6 weeks to get a set of surround speakers up here.

With that in mind the Sony Store had a receiver up here in less than 2 weeks...free shipping.

So my question is should I get the following system from the Sony Store:
1 x SSCN550H
4 x SSMB150H
1 x SAWM500

And have a set of surround speakers here in less than 2 weeks...or keep banging away at Future Shops supply chain problem?

It may also be that the demand for that particular system from Future Shop is throttled and if I ordered some Athena or Polk components individually, they would show up.

I know speakers will be the most important part of my system so any help in not making a mistake would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards, Hedgehog

My advise:
Keep waiting.
Sony speakers leave a great deal to be desired. I can't say I'm familiar with that Athena package but I think you'll be quickly disappointed in the quality of Sony speakers.
