Should I buy these Boston Acoustics floorstanders?

I'm setting up a simple 2.0 turntable system in my living room, and by audiophile standards I'm on a shoestring budget. Should I buy these?

I may take ImcLoud's suggestion and drive them with a Dayton APA150.

Valid point! I don't have a car, so it's tough to manage the logistics of checking these speakers out and being ready to transport them to my home. Then add the complication that a majority of craigslist users seem to be flakes, and boy, such a simple thing quickly becomes a big headache. I was hoping for a resounding YES or NO to help me decide if these things are worth the effort.

The most I would go is $90 , they look to be in really good shape, but them are from the mid to late 90s so check out the surrounds good and make sure they aren't deteriorating and are going to stay together...

I checked on ebay and there is a set for $79 with no bids and a set sold for $50 with $30 shipping a few weeks ago..

The APA150 would be a good match for them though, so you are starting with a good plan..

I have a pair of these that I bought off craigslist for 80.00. They are very well made with rubber surrounds on the woofers. The only weak point is that the grills are fragile. Amazing bass for their size and good highs and image well also. Very comparable to my Polk monitor 70s in my opinion. I thought 80.00 was a steal for these. I think they're worth a listen in my opinion.
