Panasonic AE900 projector.
Panasonic S77 player (up-converts).
Denon 3800 Rec.
Dedicated HT room, no windows. (DARK!)

I am presently using 25' component cables, and am wondering if I should spend a few bucks and buy an HDMI cable. Will I notice a considerable improvement in picture quality/clarity?

I have found one by "Pro Linear" for $150.00, and realize that there are more expensive ones........are they indeed better?

To answer your question,

"YES, you should buy an HDMI cable."

It's digital vs. analog signal

You can get better prices on HDMI cables from www.monoprice.com

If you want some of the best cables (not cheap) try http://www2.dvigear.com/

When you're talking about cable quality, heavier gauges are better for longer lengths. A 25' cable is pretty darn long.

I HATE HDMI! I have had nothing but problems with it. I have 2 HDMI cables in my house. You know what????? They are zip-tied up and STUFFED in the back of the rack! Maybe when HDMI 1.3 is out on the street I will try it again. But HDMI is just to unstable right now. IMHO.

Huge waste of money!
