Short term channel static

Anyone ever experience short term static in a tweeter? During playback I noticed the left speaker had static in the tweeter. I was like oh crap these are one week old Revels. So I turned the system off and ran the speakers from my Marantz Integrated amp. No problems at all. So I then re hooked up my Parasound Integrated and had no problem still. Really strange. It only happened for a short time. Any thoughts??? I’ve never had this happen that I know of.

All I can think of is a poor connection - I've had some RCA cables that did not grip very well and over time slid farther and farther until the connection was marginal and they had static.
You may have fixed that (if it was the problem) when you switched amps, but if you play at low volume, you are more likely to notice a driver not working properly or exhibiting static. IME, more power will help the signal jump a marginal connection.

Yeah. Could have been something loose and I really hope so. Thinking of a bad tweeter in a brand new tower is not good. Thanks

I'm pretty sure the tweeter couldn't/wouldn't behave like that. If it distorts once, it will do it every time you play the signal that originally caused the distortion (at a similar volume or higher).
It is possible that one of the connections in the speaker is loose, but I wouldn't open them up unless it happens again and nothing else looks the culprit.

Yeah. If it ends up faulty I’ll send them back. 60 day trials are good but these big towers would be a pain to pack and ship back.
