Short Stand For My CC

I did a little bit of digging and isolation pads might be the solution, but they're just a little bit short at 1.8". I'd really like 2 - 3" as that would get the tweet perfectly level with my mains. I currently have it angled slightly up which works really well, so performance isn't an issue so much as just want it level with my mains.

On the cheap side I found these isolation pads, but like I said they're not quite tall enough.

On the not so cheap side I found these adjustable stands that'd work just about perfectly, but they're almost 50 bucks, and I'm pretty sure that's each pricing.

I think those are pretty cool, but I'm not spending a hundo just to raise my cc 2 1/2". Any other brands, ideas or suggestions? So far I've checked Crutchfield, Monoprice and Amazon.

I have the Fluid Audio stands to raise my surrounds up just a little bit that I needed. That price is for a pair. They are actually excellent, not the easiest to put together. I didn't even srew them together. Over you get the top and bottom attached to the legs you will understand why. It's such a tight fit they aren't coming apart so really no need to screw then together.

If that price is for a pair then that puts them on my maybe list. That's not too terrible bad. They look kinda cool and techy, plus at the shortest they're the perfect height.

I wish I could find some cheap isolation pads that are just a little bit thicker tho. I'd have ordered the ones I posted already if they were 2 1/2" or 3" thick.

Two sets, stacked (total of 4 sets I guess), you can have 3" or slightly lower, but angled, but stacking them with one angle wedge in there. Sent those to my son in law, he used the little ones to create an angle and gave me the other ones lol. Main thing is = cheap and a stack would be 3".

Almost same as what you have now, just slightly cheaper. You can order another set of the ones you have and use two

You could probably get a piece of ¾ inch MDF board and cut 3 or 4 pieces of the required size for each speaker. Glue them together and paint them to your taste.
That wouldn't cost much and could do the job.:)

I like Verdi's direction... a little bit of MDF or nice Plywood from the ol' hardware store... a little elbow grease... some stain or paint... voila!

Though frankly, I also don't think that having your Center perfectly aligned is all that necessary. But maybe that's just me. *shrugs

;)

Oh crap, I didn't look at iso pads on Monoprice. They do have one that's 2" thick. Now the question is how much does the foam compress with 40 lbs on them? Or does it not compress at all?

I don't think so either. I'm just being weird about it.

Yeah that's for 2, that's for the paid and I bit cheaper than I paid. I think I paid 68 for them.
I have some decent isolation pads for my main speakers on their stands. There are really, really bad ones out there and then good ones. Aurelex is great but my god to expensive. That's what I have under my main speakers. I know better now not to buy theirs, too expensive. I have others ones that are like 90% the quality for liner 15 bucks
The Fluid Audio stands are very nice. Thick MDF and like I said a bit of a pain to put together but good quality.

That monoprice, they have a solution to everything. I'm growing too really like them. That looks like quality pads.

God I love monoprice. I still want to hear the THX speakers even though I'm really 99.9999% in the RSL CG5 camp. I'm just waiting for them to add Amazon payments. I have a lot of credit there and it will most be easier. They said soon but not sure exactly when.

I didn't even know Amazon Pay was a thing - of course it's not in Canada yet. We don't even have Venmo here.
Oh yeah lots of places, SVS, PSA, Aperion, Monoprice too I believr accepts Amazon payments. It's so convenient.

Would have been really convenient when I managed customer support and people had gifted Amazon gift cards but didn't actually want to buy our stuff from Amazon for ethical reasons haha
