short center speaker?

I'm beginning the design/purchase of the speakers for my bedroom system. Due to room layout, positions and viewing angles, I have the need for a short (max 5" high, width no limit) center speaker of excellent quality. The speaker will go on the same stand as the TV and will be directly below and in front of the screen). I want to match manufacturer for center and R/L front mains. Receiver will be the new Yamaha RXV663 (thanks to this site).

Good luck. I have a 7" and under requirement for my center channel, and even that height eliminates quite a few choices. I can't imagine there being a lot to choose from undeer 5". That being said, Definitive Technology Mythos might be for you. Mythos Seven is under 5". A description of it is here:

You didn't mention a budget, or if you want towers or bookshelf speakers, but
the Mythos ST, or if those are out of your budget Mythos One get positive reviews (I have not heard them). Those would be matchs for the center.
If you have a Best Buy near you with a Magnolia home theater you can probably check them out there.

The era Design 3 LCR is 4.75" tall.

NSM Model 7C is 5" tall

I don't know what these sound like though.

Maybe look into the Dana 650. I can't find any dimensions on it, but it looks to be barely taller than its woofer which is about 4.5".
