This site is loaded with info for how to shave like a man. Especially the forum section.

I've been using a Merker HD double edge razor and Trumpers (or Taylors) shaving cream for about two years now. I will never go back to using a Mach 3 again. Never have razor burn or irritation like I did with the Mach 3 using a DE razor. I also use this stuff on my face after shaving for nicks.

Aftershave is this, it's what my barber used when I was growing up and always liked the smell.

I take my shaving seriously, being that I've had to do it everyday for the past 12 years.;)

I would never make it in the army Matt. I let my stubble go 2 or 3 days at a time...cause I am lazy or something in that general catagory anyway.

Up, down, up down! That's what I've been doing wrong, I thought it was side to side.

I shave against the grain, with the grain just doesn't do anything. I'd be easier if I used a belt sander.

I use Barbersol, $.99 a can and the oldest shave cream in the US I believe. Gilette three blade disposible and Brutt aftershave, just cause I like the pain.

I have shaving cuts older than that!

Wow. That's a lot of prep and clean-up work for a shave right there, if you're using the brush. I like it simple and quick. The newer Gillette Fushion products work great for me. I put off buying the five-blade razor for over a year because I thought it would be a worthless gimmick that costs too much, but I gotta say that I love it. I got the powered version, and it works great for me.

As for the daily $17 shave at a barber - some people clearly have more money and time (and trust in another dude with a straight razor) than I do. :D

Long story short is that I asked my father about which way works best (he is wicked good at sharpening blades). According to him modern technology does the best job. Mach 3 for me, thank you.

I shave right after a shower: no soap, no shaving cream, and no nicks. Ever.
Having a light beard is probably the key ingredient.

Shaving... I haven't shaved in years. I just trim it down with electric clippers.

I'm being serious here, no Sheep jokes.

That's not for everyday, Silly. It's kind of like Man Spa. Maybe once a month or when ever you get a pedicure. I'll be honest with you, I want to see some DBT regarding that 10 o'clock shadow malarky. I didn't fall off the turnip truck last night.

Back when I first started shaving I didn't use shaving cream, then tried it after a couple years and haven't gone back.

I use the powered Schick Quattro 4-blade razor. I thought the whole vibration thing was worthless but then I tried it and it's actually quite nice. I've been using the same AAA battery for months and it hasn't died yet.

Of course the reason I use Schick is because they have the most free razor deals that I find on slickdeals.net. I haven't paid for razor cartridges in the past 8 months. :D

Sth to learn here, I can't get a close enough shave, and if it's close then my skin feels like I've been in the war.... so guess gilette fusion is out the door now.....
