I just bought a Sharp Aquos LC40-C32U 32" LCD HDTV at my local Costco in Torrance, CA for $999.99 plus tax ($1199.99 less a $200 instant coupon). This is apparently identical to the Sharp LC32D40U 32" LCD HDTV, but with a Costco-specific model number. I have not seen the retail version (the 40U) for less than $950 at any online store; those don't come with the great Costco unconditional money back guarantee, and most have shipping charges that are equal to or greater than the sales tax. There is a coupon in the latest Costco coupon flyer, but my store was honoring the discount with or without the coupon because they ran out of coupon booklets.

Last year I tried 2 32" Sharp LCDS from Costco. Both had too many dead pixels. Funny thing is, my friend's from BestBuy had no dead pixels. Identical set, just different model names. Just a thought.

I ended up with Westinghouse 32" from BestBuy for much cheaper. Now I am just waiting for 42" 1080p to settle down price wise.
