Rarely am I totally happy with a product I buy after considering the price I paid. There is always something that dissapoints me. Wether is the fact that my new Panasonic HD Plasma for $7,000 can't remember video settings for each input, or the fact that whie I love my Denon equipment it all looks like crap in my opinion.

Anyway I have been looking for a remote that would have three main feauteres.

1. It had to look good

2. It had to be able to learn individual buttons if needed

3. Had to be easy to use and program.

Not only did I find it, but I found it on sale for $177.00 CDN.

The Sony RM-Av2500

I don't know if ecost.com ships to Canada, but they have that model available for $84.99USD new or $68.03USD factory refurbished. I like the refurbished price the best. :)

I had the Sony AV2100 for a couple of years and then it died. I'm reluctant to buy another $200 Sony remote that may only last another couple years. It was a great remote to program and use though.

i have the 3100 and like it. a little on the big side and I have big fingers so I keep on hitting the wrong buttons on the LCD screen, but i did get it to control my lights so I can turn them off from my couch.
