I didn't know how new they were :). I was looking at them a couple of weeks ago - they seem pretty reasonably priced and kind of fill the AT gap in Carada's offerings.

Yeah, I stumbled on it while I was researching for an electric AT screen for a possible plasma/projection setup. Not sure I need the AT feature but I'm looking for an ~84-92" image.

84-92" at 16:9 represents a height of 41" to 45" tall. If you can fit an identical third speaker as center, vertically, I'm thinking that alone will be an enormous improvement. Assuming that the screen is not too high for ideal placement, or comfort.

Otherwise, you're not going to need gain with that size, and for you, I am definitely voting AT!

Getting the center speaker utterly locked to the screen would be great.

I'll step in here and offer my two-cents, since no one else indicated a familiarity with SeymourAV:

If the screen material is the same as their DIY screen, this will be about the best screen out there, acoustically. It also is a much finer hole spacing, which means you can sit closer and not see objectionable hole patterns. The audio performance is excellent, making this one of about two truly acoustic-transparent screens on the market (and the other company uses similar if not the same material).

I built my DIY screen with this material and it is excellent. Even with a spandex black light blocker behind it, the sum total attenuation is inaudible. Even my friend Ethan Winer, who eschews any type of AT-screen because the established ones have poor audio performance, was amazed at how truly 'invisible' it is, from an audio standpoint.

I highly recommend this. Chris Seymour is a perfectionist and makes certain the product is flawless when it leaves the factory. And it performs as well visually as it does acoustically.
