I just replaced my old Yamaha and JBL Northridge setup that was over 10 years old. I know just enough to be dangerous, but I really don't have a clue what settings I should be using in the receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ran the YPAO on the Yamaha RX-760BL as a baseline, then modified some setting based on the Definitive Technology recommendations. Here is my current setup and settings:

Front: Def. Tech. BP-9020ST - Large
Center: Def. Tech CS-9040HD - Small, 100Hz crossover
Rear surround: Def. Tech Promonitor 800 - Small, 100 Hz crossover
Sub: Martin Logan Dynamo 700W wirelessly to the back of the room
Front Presence: Def. Tech. A90, Small, 100 Hz crossover

This sounds better than my previous setup, but I want to make sure I have the best possible settings. I understand every room and each persons ear is different, but some place to start would be helpful. If you need any other info that I'm not listing, let me know.

Thanks

Even the mains should be set to small with maybe a 60Hz x-over. The other ones are probably fine. Did YPAO choose large or did you?

I changed the fronts to small and ended up going to 100 Hz on the crossover. I turned the sub on the towers to about 3/4. It sounded much better to me.

I believe YPAO chose large for the towers, center, and rear, but it might have been too poor of a setup with the mic on my part.

Thanks for the advice, it was appreciated.
