Setting up Rx-v1500, which impedance level do I use?

I have a pair of Ohm Walsh FRS11s which are 6 ohms for my Front Right and Left speakers. The rest of my speakers are Infinity brand which are 8 ohm.

My receiver has a setting for impedance 6 0hm minimum or 8 ohm minimum. Which should I use?

I'm one of those people who try to get every bit of performance I can from my stuff whether it be a pc, car , home theater, etc. By changing it to 6ohm you are basically limiting the rail voltage and hendering the performance of your AVR. By leaving it set to 8ohm you will not engage the limitiation but run a larger chance of damaging the AVR if it was overdriven. Is this the safest way to run one.... no, but it does improve performance.

Manufacturers give the 6 ohm setting option to mitigate legal issues. It has been proven that irrespecitve of make and model, the 8 ohm setting is the better performer. The receiver will run hotter and so you will have to ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating.
