Set Up Questions For Integra 7.8

Just bought this 7.8 Integra 5 days ago, and have set everything up. But having a problem getting the zone 2 working. I am now a little nervy because where I bought this from they are not sure why zone 2 is not working and when I tried to contact Integra by phone for tech help or by e-mail could not reach them. There intructions is quite explicit and simple, First go to #7. hardware and activate zone 2, then set volume to variable, it also has fixed, I tried both and no sound to the speakers. For anyone that may have a 7.8, I used my remote and also tried the receiver and hit the zone 2, button, then the green light came on, ( indicater that I am in the Zone 2 is on, then hit the CD input sel button for the source that was playing.
Also when you set up the Audysey multi EQ positions, if you set up say four different postions, is there away you can go to different postions say 4, or 3 that are different from the #1 postion, I cannot undersatand how you can hear from all different listening postions all at the same time?? There are no intructions how you can go to another listening position if you want?

I would make the outfit you bought the rig from demonstrate to you that zone 2 works. My hunch is it doesn't.

As far as Audysey is concerned, I don't advise the use of those programs.

I would set levels by meter and run everything flat ans see how that sounds. You might want to touch up by ear, however EQ is a last resort and in a good system should not be necessary.

The most common problem with Zone 2 is that it can only work with analog inputs and many people aren't aware of that. The first thing to check is if you connected the CD player to the receiver using analog connections.

With regard to the Ausyssey setup, you are not defining multiple listening positions such that you would have to sit in each location to get the effects of the EQ. The system takes readings from multiple locations and tries to calculate the best overall EQ parameters so that any position in the listening room has good sound.

Is your CD player connected using the stereo analog connections? Digital is not sent to Zone 2. What happens if you use the tuner as the source?

You guys are incredible, All my sounds source are digital, so when I hooked up analog to AUX 1, not being used I got music = hooray!!!! And your thoughts on Audysey multi EQ, I have hearing damage to my right ear( serving God & Country) so I need to up the dbs on the right speakers. I owe each of you guys a six pack of your favorite DUI!lolo Now that I have everything working I have nothing but praise for the Integra 7.8, especially for the sound quality and all the fantastic sounds mods.
