Set-Up advice on speaker location and receiver

Hi Audioholics,

As with most posts here, I am new to the whole home theater set-up. I think that my goals far outweigh my capabilities in the Audio front and any advice is appreciated.

My goal is to set up my living room and then my bedroom/bathroom with a system that can play music (ideally sonos because I like the ease of it) as well as watch TV, Xbox, etc. Right now there are a several in ceiling speakers from the previous owner but he striped so much out when he moved I will need to start over. I would like to leverage some of the speakers left over though.

First, my Living Room. Currently I have 2 in ceiling Sonance speakers directly positioned over my couch. As it is a long room I wanted to put in 6 more in ceiling speakers. This would put 6 in my living room and 2 in my kitchen, compromising 2 zones. One would be all 8 speakers for playing music, and another would be the 4 around my TV and couch. For this setup I have a few questions.

1a. Will having only 4 in ceiling speakers sound terrible? If so, what is a better configuration. Should I get 4 in ceiling speakers and a sound bar? 4 in ceiling and 2 in wall? Right now I am using a Bose 5.1 system that was given to me but I am assuming there is no way to integrate it into another system.

2a. What is the best Receiver to use? My aim is to have the 2 Multizone and Multisource set-up for TV and Audio but I also want to be able to have the TV on whilst I listen to music such as during a sports game.

Second my Bed Bath Combination. At the moment the set-up involves 2 TV (one in each room), and 4 speakers (2 in each room). I attached a little drawing I made below. The blue are speakers and purple are TVs. For here again the main questions are regarding a 2 zone set-up, wiring and speaker sufficiency.

1b. In the Bathroom, will having the TV audio come out of the in ceiling speakers sound awkward as they are not directly centered over the TV? Would it be better to get a TV with built in speakers and just use the speakers, get a TV with built in speakers and connect the in ceiling as well, or are just the in ceiling sufficient.

2b. The same issue is for the bedroom. Will connecting the 2 in-ceiling to the TV distort the sound or should I also get a sound bar here. I was thinking maybe I could add in 2 in celing speakers closer to the TV to try to get a surround sound feel.

2c. Here as well I would want 2 zones where I could play music in one room and listen to the TV in another. The TV image will mirror each other so that is not an issue.

Thank you again for the help and please ask questions of things I have missed or need to clarify.
