Good day all!

I am thinking to buy a RX-A-1030 or 2030 Yamaha A/V, and I need to get also the complete set of speakers (with sub woofer, center, rear, etc speakers).

Can anybody give a hand on suggesting a good brand/model for this set?. For me it would be affordable if the cost is less than 2k dollars.

Thanks in advance

By "complete set' do you mean 5 or 7 channels? Are you partial to bookshelf or towers for the fronts? What is your goal? Mostly movies or music?

I would definitely go with 5.1 or 5.2 w/ $2K total budget.

I would also personally unequivocally go with the Denon X4000 because of the Audyssey XT32/dual Sub EQ/DEQ. :D

Okay, now that I have persuaded the OP to defect to the Denon X4000 ;), we can talk about the speakers and subs. :D

I am certain we all have our opinions, but IMO, the most important next step is the subs. I would grab dual Rythmik LV12 for $1060 delivered. :D

Okay, so now you have about $1K for 5 speakers.

Ascend 340/170 5.0 package w/ matching stands would be a good choice - you could place the order along with the Rythmik.

Another option would be to get five NHT Absolute Zero speakers (on sale for $178 each shipped). NHT offers 30-day risk free returns. The Absolute Zero has a superlative listening window frequency response of +/-0.9dB from 100Hz-10kHz. The LV12 is flat from 19Hz-300Hz +/-2dB (AVR LFE output to Sub LFE input). So just set the XO on the Denon X4000 to 100Hz. Sweetness.

Hello!

By 'complete set' I mean 7 channels.

I am partial to bookshelf speakers for the fronts.

My goal is both music and movies

I hope this can help.

It would help to know where you plan to buy them - and have you factored in
shipping, if outside of your area. Also, the size of your room may help.

I would like to buy the equipment in Miami.

The size of the living room is quite a normal size , let's say 4x 5 meters

Look at speakers from Focal, Monitor Audio, KEF, Boston, Definitive Tech and PSB

Thanks for the response!

Do you know any good store in Miami (near the airport, Doral, Hialeah) or Miami beach?

Which A/V Reciever brand do you think globally is the best: Pioneer, Yamaha, Denon or MArantz? Thinking of a price around 1,500 US dollars.
