Servo driver - servo amp

Does it matter which amp I use with which driver if they are both servo or are they "matched" to some extent? I have an older servo sub with a dead driver (driver is no longer manufactured) ; can I just pick up a new servo driver and get it to work?

If you read on Rythmik's site Brian talks about different types of servo technology. I doubt the different types of technologies are compatible with one another so you'd have to start with knowing what type of servo technology your amp uses.

This is, however, just a thought, I am in no way qualified beyond speculation

Yeah, I figured if I didn't get an answer here I'd check with Brian, since that is where I was planning on getting the driver from anyway I use one of their amps for my Tempest. Thanks!
