I have a bit of a rant here. I ordered a package last Thursday using my Amazon Prime membership that was slated to be delivered two days later on Saturday... last Saturday. After ordering it I noticed I accidentally shipped it to my old address which wasn't a problem because it's my aunts house which is only 15 minutes up the road. "I'll just pick it up there when it comes" I thought. How wrong I was... Because the package shipped via USPS instead of FedEx or UPS and because I have a forwarded address my package has been lost in the black hole that is the United States Postal Service for an entire 7 days now! So, to put it in perspective... the package shipped from the Amazon warehouse in Phoenix. I live in Scottsdale. According to Google maps the Amazon warehouse is 28 miles from my place or about a 38 minute drive... The package was shipped to my old address which is a 15 minute drive from my place. Because of my forwarding address it was automatically forwarded and that is where things went so wrong. Seriously... what does USPS do with forwarded packages? How can it possibly take 7+ full days to get a package from north Scottsdale... to north Scottsdale.. a distance of about 12 miles! It's pointless to call USPS on the phone. I can't talk to anyone except a computer. I went to the Post Office where my tracking number says the package has been since Thursday and they said, "Yeah it's probably back there somewhere and should be delivered today (Friday) or tomorrow (today) and no you can't pick it up and take it home. Well tomorrow came and still no package! Maybe Monday?
