Sennheiser HD 202 portable amp question

Hello everyone!
I wasn't sure where to post this thread and after some consideration i've decided it would better fit in here than somewhere else:)

I am a happy owner of a Sennheiser HD 202 headphones strapped to a Sansa Clip Zip mp3 player. Basically my question is this: is it worth buying a portable amplifier if i'm looking for better sound quality? Bear in mind i don't need my music louder, i rockboxed my Clip and it's loud enough for me when it's set anywhere between -10dB and -20dB (depending on outside noise), so i still have a lot of power to spare if i ever wished my music *really* loud. I am however looking for improvement in sound quality, and some reviews i've read seem to indicate HD 202 headphones benefit a lot from a portable amplifier (*punchier* bass, and better quality overall). Can anyone comment on this? Is an amplifier really worth it when it comes to improving sound quality? Or are those just good for *louder* music or powering high resistance headphones?

Amplifiers i have in mind are Fiio E5 or E6. Those are definitely not top of the line but neither are my headphones, and i'd rather not spend more cash on an amp than i did on my headphones (i'd like to keep it more or less even). Are those a good choice? Or can you guys recommend something else at the same price range?

EDIT: You guys should probably know i'm mostly listening to Trance (especially Vocal Trance) and i'm a bit of a basshead. :)
