I can stretch for $2K more if i could really get more oomph/$ beyond what i have acquired already..

I have a dedicated Media Room (~3500 CuFt) with the following..
KEF IQ90 Front L/R
KEF IQ60C Center Channel (About to Order from A4L)
Part of the existing KEF 3005 Series
-Eggs as the Surrounds (4 - HTS3001)
-HTB2 as Sub
Sanyo PLV-Z2000 PJ | Pioneer Elite VSX-82TSX AVR | Sony PS3 for BD
Usage will be 100% Movies and very Little Gaming

>A decent sub in the $1K Range or May be Two for the same price - Any suggestions?
>Reading quite a bit about seperates. Thinking of.. Emotiva XPA-3 to power up the Front L/C/R (Or may be a XPA-5) - Would i really see any difference doing so given
that i will be using this all for HT Usage? & since that i have a decent AVR?

I dont have to spend that $2K - If its not for my media room; I will propably use that for a 2 Channel Setup that iam
planning for my Living Room (Have a HK 3490 Stereo Reciever - Powering couple of in walls from Aperion Audio for now).

Get a nice powerful sub and some room treatments. AVrat has some good suggestions for the sub. I'd also look at the a7s-450 sealed 18" sub from eD as a value leader and a beast of a sub.

ATS acoustics is a good place to start for room treatment. A dedicated area for audio/video definitely should be treated and have some powerful bass imo. You can always add an amp to power your speakers, but I'm not sure that would make much of a difference as compared to treatment and bass as a first step.

About this?

SVS subs are also great. Two SVS PB12-NSD ($569 each) will push the envelop.
Or one SVS PB13-Ultra ($1,599) will woof by moving a lot of air. :)

The Emotiva XPA-3 ($599 or $519 when on sale), to power your three front speakers, will take care of where the power is most needed.

* And all within reach of your total budget (or less). :)

Cheers,
Bob

Sounds like a sweet setup buddy. But why have a center speaker when you can use another iQ90. You will get much better sound using a tower or even a bookshelf in the middle in my opinion.

Don't wast any money on the amplifiier. Put your money on subs preferably custom ones. You can get a cabinet maker to build you a great sub enclosure or even DIY. Even a ported Shiva-X built in the Infinity Kappa Box will get you much better performance than most commercial subs.

If you insist on commercial subs. Get an epik beast or an SVS.
