I have a modest turntable setup that sounds decent, but whenever I go to my buddy's house I'm envious of how full and warm his records sound. He says his equipment is all from the thrift store, and I want my records to sound that good! I currently have an AT-LP60 Audio-Technica turntable hooked up to a Dayton Audio APA150 amp which powers two Pioneer SP-FS5f floor speakers. What can I do to flesh out the sound? Add a powered subwoofer? Also, I'm a cheap, cheap man, so I'm not seeking the best thing available. Just something a little better.
