Second Zone with Denon X1000

Hi all, new member here, thanks in advance for the advice!

I have a living room setup with 5.1 through my Denon X1000.

I have a second zone which consists of 2 speakers on the patio by the pool and 2 in the master bedroom.

Bought that Denon thinking I could power both the living room speakers and my second zone with the X1000.

Now I realize that the second zone is not powered - I think that means I have to send it out to yet another receiver/amp or something to power that zone?

Thanks all, I'm a neophyte and don't wnat to become an expert, just want to pump the jams around the pool this summer.

Cheers,

I just looked at the owner's manual for the X1000 and yes, you are orrect. You'll need a separate amp for zone 2.
