Hello I have a refurbished which I love set of cerwin vega at 15s and am using a nad c-370. Well I want louder and was looking at carvers?? Can someone tell me what is the max amp for these old tough speakers??? The Nad pushes them but I know they want louder and I am old school and like the bass and kick it rock??? Thanks

Get a pro amp. The Behringer A500 is a great bang for buck and it offers standard connectivity (just use the NAD as a preamp). It will sound just as good as the Carver, only it will be new and most likely less expensive. That amplifier has enough power to drive CVs to blistering output without losing any integrity.;)

Get a huge SVS sub and high pass the CV's: that will yield better dynamics and absolute output than you are currently experiencing.

I would also second the pro-audio suggestion-mega watts for way less than consumer gear.

Seriously, that NAD can put out 300 plus clean watts, and pushing the CV's has got to be getting you 120 db output or more, if those old CV's are capable. Are you trying to throw a concert outside or something?
