Forgive me if this has been covered but I find the search function here to be terrible. I even looked at the FAQ to see if I was searching wrong. Often times, I search google with "audioholics" as a keyword for what I'm looking for in the discussion forums.

Any fix in sight or is this not an issue for everyone else?

Thanks!

Strange. I've perused a good number of search engines, and they are more or less the same. I can try to help you? I don't know how familiar or unfamiliar you are.

I use advanced search 9 out of every 10 searches.

From there you can select to search only a particular subforum.

You can select any certain keyword, however, sometimes to get a better result I will often search the word under TITLES ONLY, instead of "search entire posts".

I also often use search by poster, when I know a certain member talked a lot about something, but I can't find where it was.

I also will play with the "show results as", whether as threads, or individual posts.

When you are within any given specific thread, you can search just in that thread alone for keywords.

I've never used tags, and I pretty much never limit results by date.

I hope this helped.
