I haved owned all 3 types of subwoofers. My most recent being my Earthquake subs that are a PR design. I have been most impressed with the small size & yet the deep response of them.

Anyone else have a system that revolves around passive radiators??

I just want to open up any comments whether possitive or negative on PRs.

Experiences are welcome!!

I cobbled together a Franken-SVS that utilized a GR Research PR + a SVS Plus driver in a custom cabinet. It was interesting and pretty hefty in terms of output. I find that PR designs give you a nice bump in output but still have the tighter sound of a sealed design, but they are still a bit less efficient compared to a vented sub. They are a bit trickier to dial in also.

My current sub is sealed and I love the way it sounds. Dual driver config yields the output I want with a cleaner sound than my former vented Tempest.
