Z,

would you match those to the Nad T763, the 762, or the Yammy 2500 ?

I had mine on the 1400 and it worked well. I listen to music pretty loud when I'm alone, so I added an amp(Adcom 7605). I went with a five channel because it was on a major sale. The 2500 wil drive them with no sweat, but the NAD's are rated to drive a 4ohm load, or even 2ohm. If the funds are available, I would pick this:http://www.yawaonline.com/nadt7avrefco.html

For that much money you're much better off getting a small two way. The quality of those drivers and the cabinet are junk. Polk makes some very good two ways for that kind of money as do others. I'm sure they sound no less than awful. Speakers can last for alot of years and if you do some research buying used is an excellent idea.

Warner,
I assume your talking about the SDATs as far as being junk. I wasn't really considering them. More just curiosity than anything else. I haven't heard much about them anywhere. Are they German made as well?

Zumbo,
That is a great deal on the MBs. Really sucks it has to come about right before Xmas. I won't plan on one of those being in my stocking next month.

Realistically, my next purchase should be a decent sub. Right now I'm still using the sub from the Onkyo 510 package. Sounds pretty sloppy at times.
My fronts are old Technics SB-K14s. Try find those listed anywhere. They don't sound like much but they'll keep me happy for a while.

Yeah, sorry to hear about that. Did you buy them at Yawa?

Yes. I found out about Yawa on the MB Quart website. I got a great deal on the Quarts and my NHT sub. They were very helpful. I did get a package discount and am extremely pleased with the deal and the service. So pleased, I also ordered most of my cables & speaker wire from them. They were the best audio dealer I have ever used.
