I'm having a problem when using the HDMI ports on my TV. It's a RCA M50WH92S. It has two HDMI ports, that I use to connect a PS3 and xbox 360.
When playing certain games on either system, I get a really obnoxious bug where it seems the screen just loses it's place. Part of the screen will suddenly jump or shift to the left, with the part "pushed off the edge" wrapping back around to the right. It looks horrible, flickering back and forth, and makes playing any games this way more or less impossible.
But, this isn't always present. It's only on some games, and never on movies (DVD on either or Blu-Ray on the PS3). And those same games play and look just fine if I use the component cable hook-ups.
This might be related to a defective HDMI cable that I previously had. When using this cable on the PS3, it operated the same as above on games, but on movies it would introduce a really obnoxious whine to the audio that would start low, build louder and louder, until it would make a loud pop and dissappear for awhile, until starting over. I've gotten rid of that cable, but I'm worried this might have damaged the HDMI ports on my TV. Does anyone have any thoughts?
