Anyone have any info on this brand? This looks like a great deal but it appears to be a new set. According to the specs it accepts 1080P. Also includes an ATCS tuner. Check it out:

It's pretty amazing what you can get for $1700. The prices on LCD's have been dropping like flies this year. That brand is similar to Syntax. You really can't go wrong with a 1 year return policy at Costo. Nice second room or bedroom system.

I own a Sceptre LCD monitor that I am using with my computer right now. It is several years old, and was probably the bottom of the line when new. It is not great for large areas of black, and is not great with motion, though obviously those remarks are irrelevant to the new TV, as LCDs have generally improved considerably over the past few years.

My monitor has been perfectly reliable, and, despite its flaws (mentioned above), it is very pleasing to look at. The colors are beautiful. I will never go back to a CRT monitor for my computer, and, eventually, I plan on getting an LCD TV, though I am still waiting for prices to drop.

I personally would not want to buy a TV without seeing it first, so I would recommend going to your local store, if you have one.
