Andre Mathieu Piano Concerto #4
For all of you Rachmoninov fans, Mathieu may appeal to you. Although this style is not to my liking, I recognized the genius in his music and despite it being abstract sounding to me, it held my interest. According to the program handed out at the concert, Rachmoninov declared "Mathieu is an even bigger genius that I am". Like Mozart, he was prolific and died poor.
