Hello, I'm setting up a new home theatre system and looking for some suggestions on some best satellite speakers(5.1 or 7.2). compact size with wall mounting capability is preferable. thanks

I have these and have recommended these to several MEMBERS here and they love em. Buy 5 and enjoy. Also look into these NXG Pro 4.1 if you can find them a bit bigger and can be mounted. Get a Dayton 1200 sub to compliment them.
Well hey Joe! We were worried about you.

What's your budget? Would you be willing to build a diy project?

Thank you!! I'll take a look at these options. Can you suggest any expensive ones? I don't mind putting more money as I 'm not going to change for a while.

Can you tell us how big the space is? Are you limited to only on wall or can use bookshelf speakers with stands? Is it an apt or house? If you are limited in space than those JBL would be just fine. Those JBL sound fantastic for the price. I was shocked when i heard the output. Expensive does not always mean good.

Just posted in your other thread.....Why do you want to buy a $1k receiver to go with speakers of the same budget? You generally want to spend more on speakers/subs than the receiver....

It is an apartment so just want to go with wall mount. Don't have much space so stands Might not work. Ok thanks will explore JBL speakers as well. Agreed that expensive doesn't mean good, just mentioned it so you may suggest additional options. Thanks a lot

Some of the other member will chime in with other options. I tell ya those JBL satt will open your eyes for the price. Im tellin ya. The Dayton 1200($130 shipped and perfect for an apt) subwoofer will fill in the bass. Lots of options on subs as well with SVS, HSU, etc.

Spending more on speakers will result in better long term use than on an avr. Why do they have to be on-wall? That limits speaker choices somewhat nor is it best for placement in general.

@anudantuluri: 5x WaveCrest HVL-1 would work with wall brackets since they're front-ported. Add an RSL Speedwoofer 10s to complete the 5.1 combo.

Alternate package: Ascend Acoustics CMT-340 SE left, right, and center. Wait and buy the surrounds later, or stretch your budget a bit for a pair of Fluance AVBP2 surrounds. Monoprice 9723 subwoofer for now until you get a bigger place.

Or if you're near a GoldenEar dealer, you might check what a 5.1 SuperSat combo would cost you. Probably not as good a value as the Internet Direct options above, but the options above aren't satellites either.
