Sat connection question

Sorry, I have no idea how to search for this answer....lol
I have a dish network hd dvr (622). It runs two tvs (the one connected to reciever is hd, remote tv is in sd). I am getting a new, bigger hd for the main room, and want to move the old hd into another room. The old hd is a monitor only, so no tuner. How can i connect this tv to the dish cable, considering there is only the cable from the second feed, and no input for it on the monitor?

If I understand correctly, you have a second coax cable (screw on type connector) running from the Dish receiver into the second room, but your current HD monitor doesn't have a coax input. If that's wrong, let me know.

If your issue is that you don't want to run the audio/video cables from the Dish receiver to the second room, you could put anything else in there with a tuner (like a VCR) and use the tuner in that to get the stations. That would be probably be SD though. I'm not familiar with HDTV over satellite. You can also buy equipment that will broadcast the audio/video signals over an RF signal to the other room.

EDIT: Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was in the middle of typing when my dog reminded me that it was time for a walk!

Does the new tv have a tuner? Maybe you could reverse the hookups to the two tv's. You may need another box for your satellite system.

No, it is just a monitor. Dish hd only provides an hd signal to the screen that the reciever is hooked up to. The second tv is sd. getting another hdrec is an option, but where thie older one is going, it is not a big deal really.
