Samsung Shows Off 82-inch LCD TV

Samsung Electronics showcased the world's largest plasma display panel (PDP) TV, measuring 102", the world's largest TFT-LCD TV, measuring 82", and the world's largest OLED display, measuring 40", at the company's 2005 Global Road Show in New York. The 82" TFT-LCD TV has less than 8 ms response time and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Samsung's LCD TV also supports 1080p input and can scale incoming signals to display at the higher resolution. Shipping date and MSRP is TBD.

Pardon my skepticism...

But I have a real hard time believing some of the response times reported by any of the manufacturers.

Every actual test of response times always seems to be faster than reported, kind of like contrast ratios on front projectors.
